Gregory Inn

The Gregory Inn was built in 1822 for stagecoach travelers between Elmira, NY and Williamsport, PA (north and south); and Athens, PA to Wellsboro, PA (east and west).

In 1854 the New Central Railroad was built and its passengers increased the patronage to the Gregory Inn.  The Grerory Inn, built in 1821, has a very interesting history and some name changes.  It changed hands many times untill Budd and Florence Mitchell became the owners and the house became the Mitchell House.  There were many interesting discoveries  by the Mitchell family so join us on the history pages to find out the secrets.
