Heritage Village Silo

The Heritage Village Windmill was donated to the village by Pauline Swingle with farm located in Alba, Pennsylvania.  It was destructed on site and moved to the Heritage Village and Farm Museum where it was reconstructed on the north end of the Museum building.  It required a footing to be poured and treating of the wooden boards to protect from insects.  Boards were inspected, cut if rotted and reused to build the piece of history.  The Heritage Village acknowledges the financial contributions to preserve the history of this silo.

A Special “Thank You” to Pauline Swingle for the Silo donation, the volunteers that assisted with the project and Roy Mast and Family for the finishing touches.
